Yakuza Kiwami in VR
14/2/2018, 1:24 am
So here's the deal, I got a VR Phone Headset from my neighbor across the street and I managed to set it up so I can play games on my PC. I ALSO however have a capture card, so what I did was I used the app for PC games and made it think my capture was a game so I could use the headset with it. I basically managed to get Yakuza Kiwami working in my headset.
That said, this is not a feasible way to play. The was about a second of delay on what I was seeing and what I was doing. That's a lot of delay for a game like this. So what did I do? I decided "Hey, maybe I should try Karaoke one of the most timing-based minigames in this game." and I did. I also noticed before I started that I didn't align the screen right in my headset, so I could barely see the bottom half of my screen, meaning I had to use my memory for most of that.
I streamed it and highlighted me doing Baka Mitai, you can watch it here.
I got an 810, which actually was worse than my test run that I did to make sure it worked before trying to record it. I got an 850 then. Anyways, I was curious to see what you all think of this wacky experiment. Should I try doing more Yakuza VR Stuff? If any of you have suggestions for this I'm all ears.
(Also I am extremely sick and can barely breathe, so that's why my mic audio is off and I look like garbage in the clip.)

I had no clue this was possible, I'm very out of the loop with this VR stuff tbh.

VR is pretty interesting in some points. The PSVR has a Cinema Mode where it simulates a big Cinema Screen. If you put the setting on big screen and play Yakuza 6/Kiwami 2 in First person it's like you would be in the game as long as you don't look to far to the right or left.
