The almighty Handgun

My inner conflict with Yakuza 4
I think this topic best fits into Yakuza 4 because said Handguns have been used very often in Cutscenes in Yakuza 4. Across all Yakuza games this method of Storytelling is used very often. The shot out of nowhere with the handgun that kills either the good or the bad guys or hurts someone badly.
But Yakuza 4 in my opinion takes it to the crown. In my first playthrough of Yakuza 4 I had already played Yakuza 0,1, and 3 and because of this even so I didn't knew anything about Yakuza 4s Story I could easily predict every Cutscene were a shot out of nowhere would happen. I just knew what would happen next. That never happened to me again in any other Yakuza game I played.
Is it just me or did they overuse this method of storytelling in Yakuza 4 so it got predictable? Could you also predict what will happen sometimes during the Story maybe also in other entries of the series?
I'm interested in knowing your opinion on this topic in general^^

It's a forum of storytelling where it expects you to ask when and why it will happen rather than what will happen. Yakuza 2 has my favorite story because it seems predictable until
- Big Yakuza 2 Spoiler:
- it gives you like 7 different plot twists in a row near the end, which throws you off completely after thinking you know who your enemy is you start to question it a lot. While when it was executed to seem almost silly and parodistic of other action movies and games that use plot twists, it also does it in such a good way that you can't help but to get more involved in the story, and I think that's quite genius.

In my opinion without knowing anything about Yakuza 6 at the moment I think that Yakuza Kiwami had the best Story. All the emotional moments and fates that where bound together, the tragedy of Nishkiyama, Haruka and the general atmosphere made it the best for me. I could really feel myself into Kiryus situation and how important all of this was for him. Yakuza Kiwami 2s Story is pretty twist heavy and comes closely after Yakuza Kiwami for me. Yakuza 3 and 0 are on the same level for me. Yakuza 3 had some very intense and emotional moments Keywords:
Together with your mentioned points I think it's another reason why Yakuza 4 got kinda predictable to a point where I just knew what will happen next.
- Spoiler:
- Saki and Rikiya

FIxed it you are right. Kiwami added new Cutscenes who gave Nishkiyama a more refined Character and explained his transformation from Zero to Kiwami.
Fun fact: Playing the Yakuza 6 Japanese Demo the first time I thought Akiyama would be Nishkiyama. I think they do share some similarities in Style.

Akiyama is so carefree that he is nearly careless, and is full of confidence in himself and what he does. It's interesting that a character that similar in style are the polar opposite of each other.
